Eagles Traded Up to Select Linebacker in 5th Round

Son of Former All-Pro Linebacker

The Philadelphia Eagles made a move up in the 5th round of the 2024 NFL Draft to select linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. with the 155th overall pick. Trotter Jr. is the son of former Eagles All-Pro linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Sr.

"We're excited to add Jeremiah to our team," said Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. "He's a talented player with a lot of potential. We think he can be a valuable contributor to our defense."

Trotter Jr. played college football at Clemson, where he was a First Team All-ACC selection in 2023. He finished his collegiate career with 270 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks.

Trotter Jr. is expected to compete for a starting role in the Eagles' defense this season. He has the size and athleticism to be a three-down linebacker in the NFL.
