Switzerland Wins Eurovision 2024 with "The Code"

Nemo Triumphs in Malmö

Switzerland has emerged victorious at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest, held in Malmö, Sweden. The winning entry was "The Code" performed by Nemo, which garnered a total of 591 points from the jury and televoting combined.

This marks Switzerland's third Eurovision victory, following their previous wins in 1956 and 1988. Nemo's victory is also notable as it marks the first time in over 40 years that a song with an electronic and dance-oriented sound has won the competition.

The Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most watched televised events in the world, with an estimated audience of over 200 million viewers. The competition features songs from a wide range of musical genres, performed by artists representing over 40 countries.

The 2024 contest was hosted by Sweden, which previously hosted the event in 1975, 1985, and 2013. The Grand Final took place on May 11th in front of a sold-out crowd at the Malmö Arena.
