Chicago Cubs finally win World Series after 108-year drought

Ben Zobrist's RBI double in the 10th inning gives Cubs the win

The Chicago Cubs have won the World Series for the first time in 108 years, defeating the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in a thrilling Game 7 on Wednesday night.

Ben Zobrist smacked a tiebreaking RBI double in the 10th inning, and Dexter Fowler, Javier Báez, and David Ross also drove in runs for the Cubs.

Mike Montgomery got the final out to seal the win for the Cubs, who had blown a three-run lead in the ninth inning.

The Cubs' victory is their first World Series title since 1908, and it ends the longest championship drought in Major League Baseball history.
